After struggling to communicate for most of her life, Makayla discovers letter board therapy, which unlocks her ability to share her inner world through poetry and expression. The film, winner of Best Documentary Short at the Tribeca Film Festival, offers a heartfelt look at Makayla’s journey eight months into this transformative therapy, as her family begins to understand the depth of her intelligence and creativity.
